Ruth was graduated from The University of South Carolina in Columbia, receiving a Master of Arts in Teaching
and the Outstanding Teaching Award. Forty-plus years of her flute playing—solo to symphony—encompass the
eastern seaboard from Alabama to Massachusetts; also Beverly Hills (CA), Waikoloa Village (HI); Heidelberg
and Munich, Germany, and locally include the Charlotte Flute Choir, Feast and Celebration Ensemble,
SISTERS in Christ Dinners; Spirit Square, Southern Christmas Show, Ballantyne Resort; memorial music,
church services, weddings; concerts, banquets, premier performances, special presentations, dinners, recordings.
